The nearby Sierra Norte mountains are home to community forests - practicing exemplary forestry using modern techniques founded on traditional values. Oct 21 Fly to Oaxaca City. Meet your group for a welcome dinner and enjoy your stay in the heart of the city.

Oct 22 Explore Monte Alban with your guides and return to Oaxaca City for the night

Oct 23 - 26 Spend a few days in the Sierra Norte mountains visiting forestry projects and learning about forestry techniques from village foresters.

Oct 27 Return to Oaxaca City with the group to taste molés and mezcals and visit nearby Hierve Del Aqua

Oct 28 Fly home or extend your stay to experience Day of the Dead festivities
