Field Trip Selection

Trip 1: Fire and Fuels Management
See an all-lands approach to treatment activities on multiple land jurisdictions within the Tahoe basin. Field visits include the Angora Fire burn area, WUI fuels treatment projects, and treatments for managing wildlife and water quality.
Trip 2: Managing for Carbon and Biomass
Learn how woody biomass from fuel reduction projects are used in thermal cogeneration applications in the Tahoe basin. Visit project sites managed for production of ecosystem services and carbon sequestration.
Trip 3: Sierra Nevada Silviculture in practice
Experience different approaches to silviculture in mixed conifer systems. Sites will include even-age management on private land, snow retention and water production as part of ski area management, and uneven-age management on public land.

Cancellation Policy: Refunds due to cancellations made on or before May 1st will be made with a $50 cancellation fee. Refunds due to cancellation cannot be made after May 1. However, a substitute may attend in the original registrant's place for a $25 substitution fee, provided that advance notice is received.
