The Guild welcomes all individuals who are attracted to its mission and principles. The Guild has two levels of membership, with three membership categories:

Professional Membership

Professional membership is open to all forest professionals actively engaged in forest stewardship. Professional members practice forest stewardship through on-the-ground management, forest policy work, forest land protection, forest advocacy, or forest related research. To become a professional member, please fill out a Professional Membership application.

Affiliate Membership

Supporting and Sustaining membership is for individuals, organizations, businesses, or agency offices who support the Guild’s mission. Organizations, businesses, or agencies should designate an individual to serve as the contact person with the Guild.

Student membership is open to all students who support the Guild’s Mission and wish to become actively involved in the Guild’s activities. Student membership is free.

At their June meeting, the Forest Guild Board of Directors voted unanimously to increase membership dues for professional and affiliate members. This marks the first time in the organization's history that membership dues have been raised. The increase will help the organization keep pace with rising operational costs and continue service to its members. The increase took effect January 1, 2010 and will be applied at a member's next renewal.

New annual membership dues are as follows:
  • Professional members $75.00
  • Affiliate members $35.00
  • Student members Free
Additional payment options are available for members unable to meet the increased dues level.
